Website design and services vary greatly in price and products that are offered. The price range is vast from R500 up to R30000 and much more for some large corporations. There is also the ongoing costs for maintenance and support for these sites. We aim to offer a solution that is simple and effective. We take an Open Source Content Management System – WordPress, install it on a reliable website host and add a bare bones template. We then customize the site to your requirements. The basic site can be up in a few days and can then be customized to your requirements. All content additions and changes can then be done by you from any computer with an internet connection and web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox (recommended).
Ongoing costs are therefore minimized as you have less reliance on the web designer for future changes. The website is yours and maintenance and changes are for you to look after (unless you want us to do it for you). The domain name is registered in your name, so you will have rights to it whether you decide to use us or another web designer or host in the future.
Costs
Rather than work by the hour we prefer to understand your requirements and then make an estimate for you. Estimating how much work will go into a project can, as I am sure you can appreciate, be very tricky. Most of our websites span between R4000 and R9000.

Backups – you will receive a copy of the website on CD, but if the site frequently changes and you would like your data backed up regularly, backups are available. These also safeguard in case of problems with upgrades – POA.
Wordpress upgrades (to stay current and secure) – these can easily be done by the customer (on the very rare occasion a problem arises support is available). If you prefer we can do this for you, price depends on installation details, but is normally around 10 minutes per month. We suggest the customer manage these as it is only a click on a button, but if we are managing the content then it makes sense for us to manage the upgrades
Website changes – these are mostly be done by the customer (content), more fundamental changes (design) – R250/hr. We can also manage the content if you desire (R200/hour).
